Our country is in trouble.  President Obama and his rubber-stamp Congress, including the puppet I'm running against: Congressman Ed Markey, are destroying our economy and unless they're stopped and stopped soon the USA's downward spiral will only get worse.

Congressman Markey’s been in office so long (exactly 34 years next Election Day) that his Congressional pension and his Social Security benefit will exceed his current Government salary should the voters send Tom Tierney to Washington to replace him.  That shouldn't be a voting determinant but it's something to think about.

I like Ed Markey; we have a lot in common; and I've told both him and his staff on more than one occasion that I hope I’d never have to oppose him.  But nothing is forever.  After 34 years, Ed is totally burned-out, he doesn’t function well anymore, he's out of touch with average Americans and he's gone so far off the reservation that it's time for him to be finally put out to pasture.

Ed’s given us a $13 Trillion Federal debt and a $1.4 Trillion annual deficit that's ruining our economy and the lives of many of our people.  If Tom Tierney goes to Congress, his top priority will be to eliminate the deficit and start whittling down the debt.

Ed didn’t want Obama-care but he was too tired to fight it.  If Tom Tierney goes to Congress, his second highest priority will be to morph Obama-care into "Medicare for anybody who wants it".

Ed Markey and Tom Tierney agree that we've got to make a special effort to assist the long-term unemployed - - - along the lines of the Humphrey-Hawkins approach from 40 years ago.  But again, Ed just doesn't have the energy anymore to fight another good fight.  If Tom Tierney goes to Congress, his third highest priority will be help the long-term unemployed.
